A coalition of more than two dozen faith groups, including a pair based in Wisconsin, has filed a federal lawsuit against the Trump Administration, challenging a change in policy that would allow federal agents to conduct immigration raids in houses of worship and schools. Among the faith groups are the Wisconsin Council of Churches, whose offices are in Madison, and the Milwaukee-based Wisdom Inc. The suit asks the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to reverse President Donald Trump’s decision to rescind the so-called “sensitive locations” policy. The policy limited how and when Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs Border Protection (CBP) agents could conduct enforcement actions near places like houses of worship and schools.
