Brodhead man charged with child pornography

A Brodhead man is facing multiple counts of possessing child pornography after a cyber tip led to an investigation. According to the Green County Sheriff’s Office, on February 5, the WI Department of Justice- Division of Criminal Investigation served a residential search warrant in the Town of Spring Grove. The investigation started with a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The investigation then led found more reports of child sexual abuse material. Authorities arrested 25-year-old Garrett McKnight at his work in Janesville with the help of DCI Agents. A second search warrant was served at a home in the in the City of Brodhead. On Feb.10, officials said he was charged in Green County Circuit Court with two counts of possession of child pornography, a Class D Felony. He’s being held on $20,000 cash bond. More charges were filed in Rock County Circuit Court for child sexual exploitation, a Class C Felony.
