Teen trapped in vehicle following rollover

On Thursday the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one- vehicle rollover on Southwest Rd approximately ½ mile North of Highway 151. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a truck in a field on its drivers side. The driver and only occupant, 19-year-old Margaret Metzen of Platteville was trapped in the vehicle. Metzen advised she was uninjured. With the assistance of the Platteville Fire Department, Metzen was freed from the vehicle. Metzen was assessed by Southwest Health paramedics and transported to Southwest Health in Platteville for further evaluation. Metzen was issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Control of Vehicle.
