‘Captain America’ Box Office: ‘Brave New World’ Opens With $100M In U.S.

Captain America: Brave New World, starring Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford, is off to a strong start with an estimated domestic opening of $100 million over the Valentine’s Day/Presidents Day weekend, and $88.4 million in its first three days. That’s one of the top domestic Presidents Day openings and the highest opening of 2025 thus far. In North America, Paddington in Peru follows at No. 2 with $13 million. Heart Eyes got a boost in its second weekend and landed at No. 3 with $10 million, while Dog Man finished fourth with $9.7 million, and the Chinese-language animated blockbuster Ne Zha 2 rounded out the top five with $7.2 million.
