Women are a key aspect of the agriculture industry and are responsible for many facets of the farm. UW-Madison extension is hosting a program geared toward women and the many hats they wear in the agricultural industry. Topics for the day center around exploring diversified revenue streams, such as agritourism and locally grown product marketing. Presentation topics include: Diversified Revenue Streams, Farm Biosecurity, On-Farm Classes, Diversified Crops, and Flower Farms. The event will be March 20th at the Iowa County Fairgrounds. RSVP by March 13th by calling the Lafayette County UW Extension Office, 608-776-4820. The cost of the program is $25 and covers materials, lunch, and craft supplies.
