Shaboozey‘s crossover smash hit, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” has just set a record by spending a 35th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart, surpassing Sam Hunt‘s previous 34-week record with his 2017 hit, “Body Like a Back Road.” Shaboozey now holds the longest reign at No. 1 by a solo artist, while the longest total rule in the history of the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart belongs to Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha‘s 2017 smash collaboration, ‘Meant to Be’, which spent a remarkable 50 total weeks at No. 1. Last year, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” spent a staggering 19 total weeks at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart, tying Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ record for their 2019 breakout hit, “Old Town Road.” (Holler)
