The city of Dubuque is considering $320,000 for improvements to the Bunker Hill Golf Course Club house. Black mold and water leakage has made parts of the building unusable and the city is hoping to fund a longer-term fix. The most crucial work will be removing and restoring a piece of the foundation near the southwest corner of the building. The rest of the core work will focus on preventing water from entering the basement. A public hearing for the project will be held today [Monday, March 3]. If approved, a contract would then be awarded at the March 17 Dubuque City Council meeting. Work is expected to go quickly and be done in early summer.
