Amber Alert still in effect for missing Beaver Dam teen

An Amber Alert for a missing pregnant Beaver Dam teen has now been in effect for a month. Authorities are still searching for Sophia Franklin. At the time the 16-year-old went missing, Franklin was three months pregnant. Sophia Franklin was last seen Feb. 2 at her home in Beaver Dam. Law enforcement believe she is with 40-year-old Gary F. Day, who was last seen at Sophia’s home on surveillance footage the morning of Feb. 3. He is the father of Sophia’s unborn child. Beaver Dam Police Department updated the Amber Alert after it was determined that Day may be switching the license plates on his 2014 Buick LaCrosse. The vehicle had Arkansas license plates, but was also spotted with Pennsylvania and Arizona plates. Since the Amber Alert has taken effect, it has been extended to Arkansas and Missouri.
