The three firefighters injured in a Jo Daviess County grass fire Tuesday are in stable condition but remain hospitalized, according to an updated press release from Jo Daviess County Emergency Management Office. Elizabeth Fire Protection District personnel responded to provide mutual aid at 3:04 p.m. Tuesday for a grass fire on South Rush Road with Hanover Fire Protection District. Three firefighters were injured in the incident and airlifted to the hospital. The release does not identify the firefighters.
