No injuries in semi-trailer fire

On Saturday at approximately 1:06 PM, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a semi tractor trailer on fire in the southbound lane of Highway 151, at Mile Marker 9, in Paris Township. When the deputy arrived, it was determined 73-year-old John L. Wubben of Cuba City, was driving a semi tractor pulling a John Deere Excavator on a flatbed trailer when the right rear tires on the trailer started on fire. Wubben was able to unhook from the trailer while waiting for the fire department to arrive. Wubben was not injured and the trailer sustained damage but was able to be driven from the scene. The Dickeyville Fire Department and Dickeyville Ems assisted at the scene.
