Crawford County Law Enforcement made multiple arrests in two separate traffic stops last week, both involving methamphetamine-related offenses. The first incident occurred Tuesday, April 29 at 1:11 AM on Highway 60 in Wauzeka. The driver, 59-year-old Kenneth Lippitt of Footville has a revoked driver’s license and was showing signs of drug-related impairment. A K9 unit from the Richland County Sheriff’s Office alerted to the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia and hypodermic needles loaded with liquid methamphetamine. Lippit was arrested on charges of 2nd offense operating while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance, operating while revoked, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A passenger, 54-year-old Debra Anderson of Brodhead was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia.
A second arrest occurred on Friday, May 2 in Gays Mills. Deputies stopped a vehicle on Main Street and identified the driver as 34-year-old Amber Biamonte of La Farge. K9 Diego alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed methamphetamine and related paraphernalia. Biamonte is charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, delivery of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating with a suspended license.
