The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is beginning its annual spongy moth treatment. Small airplanes are going to spray a natural soil bacteria that kills spongy moth caterpillars. That treatment will happen over parts of Grant County. Officials say the bacteria doesn’t hurt people, bees, pets or other animals, but people with severe allergies might want to stay inside during treatment applications.
