Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul announced a preliminary injunction was issued against the Trump administration’s plan to dismantle three federal agencies. The targeted agencies include the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Minority Business Development Agency, and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. According to a news release from the Wisconsin Department of Justice the dismantling of these agencies threatened programs vital to Wisconsin. According to the Department of Justice, U.S. District Court Chief Judge John McConnell, Jr. supported the injunction, stating it is “appropriate and necessary.” Kaul’s lawsuit is supported by attorneys general from 20 other states, including Illinois.
