From May 16 to May 27 the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the national “Click It or Ticket” campaign. According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Department, in 2024 Illinois saw a 92.4% daytime seatbelt use rate, but they are wanting to remind the remaining 7.6% to buckle up. The press release also states that nighttime enforcement will be a key part because data shows a higher of unrestrained fatalities at night.
