Police said a man sexually assaulted a woman in Dubuque. 28-year-old Erik U Chandler Jr. of Joliet, Ill., was arrested at 5:49 p.m. Friday at Dubuque Law Enforcement Center on a warrant charging two counts of third-degree sexual abuse. Court documents state the woman told police earlier this year that she was sexually assaulted by Chandler on two occasions over the course of two days at a Dubuque residence. She also said he physically assaulted her. Chandler denied sexually assaulting the woman in an interview with police after he was extradited back to Dubuque County to appear on a charge of domestic assault in connection with the incident.
