Potosi man arrested for OWI following crash with a juvenile in the vehicle

On Sunday at 4:34 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a one vehicle crash in Dickeyville. Deputies arrived on scene and after a brief investigation it was determined 35-year-old Bruce Haas of Potosi, was traveling north on West Main Street when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a legally parked vehicle. There were two other passengers in Haas’ vehicle. One of the passengers was a juvenile who was treated by Dickeyville EMS for minor injuries at the scene, but didn’t require transport to the hospital. Haas displayed signs of impairment and was ultimately arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated with a passenger under the age of 16. Dickeyville EMS assisted at the scene.
