Krysten Ritter will return as Jessica Jones in Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again season 2. The news was announced at Disney’s Upfront in NYC after rumors had been circulated online for months. Ritter originally played Jessica Jones in the hit Netflix series from 2015 to 2019. Daredevil, portrayed by Charlie Cox, exists in the same universe. (Deadline)

Sports Illustrated revealed the cover models for its 61st swimsuit issue: Salma Hayek, Oliva Dunne, Jordan Chiles, and Lauren Chan. “I still can’t believe it,” Hayek said on Today. “I remember when I was young and hot. I used to look at this magazine…I never thought that was a possibility, and for it to happen when I’m 58. It’s really shocking.” (UPI)

Cynthia Erivo will play 23 characters in a production of Dracula in London’s West End. It’s adapted and directed by Kip Williams, who also envisioned the one-person The Picture of Dorian Gray with Sarah Snook. The production plays at the Noël Coward Theatre starting Feb. 4, 2026. Erivo also played five characters in season premiere of Poker Face. (THR)

The CW has acquired U.S. broadcast rights for Canadian drama Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent. The series, based on Dick Wolf’s iconic format, features detectives Graff (Aden Young) and Bateman (Kathleen Munroe) investigating high-profile homicides using psychological tactics in Toronto. The show will premiere on The CW in the fall. (Variety)

ESPN will launch its new streaming service in the fall, offering a variety of sports content programming without traditional cable/satellite subscriptions. “It’s going to redefine our business, ” says Jimmy Pitaro, chairman of the Disney sports giant. Disney will offer the service on a stand-alone basis and also as part of a bundle with Hulu and Disney+. (Variety)

Morris, the famous alligator known for roles in Happy Gilmore and Dr. Dolittle 2, has died at 80+ years old. Active in film and TV from 1975 to 2006, his exact age was unknown, but estimated based on size and tooth loss. (COS)

Anemone, co-written by Daniel Day-Lewis and directed by his son Ronan, will see Day-Lewis returning to the screen after four years of self-imposed retirement. The film, exploring family relationships, is set for release in October 2025, with a limited release on October 3rd before expanding wide on October 10th by Focus Features. (COS)

Jesse Tyler Ferguson shared a humorous mishap from his acting past on his podcast, recounting how snorting powdered milk during a play caused a “yeast infection in [his] nose.” The incident occurred during an Off-Broadway play with his podcast guest Luke Macfarlane, including scenes involving simulated drug use and nudity.
