A 24-hour fundraising event raised a record amount for area nonprofit organizations. Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque’s Great Give Day raised more than $600,000 Wednesday. The event’s proceeds mark the highest amount raised in Great Give Day’s 11-year history. The $630,755 raised will support participating nonprofits in Allamakee, Clayton, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson and Jones counties. The event raised $450,000 last year. The foundation had set a goal this year to raise $500,000
