During Kenny Chesney’s show at the Sphere in Las Vegas on Wednesday night (May 28), he brought out special guest Megan Moroney to join him on a couple duets. The two country stars performed a stirring rendition of Chesney’s 2017 No. 1 hit, “All the Pretty Girls,” followed by the live debut of their new duet, “You Had to Be There,” which was released on May 9. Moroney shared with the sold-out crowd that she wrote the song as a token of gratitude to Chesney after getting the opportunity to tour with him in 2024, and she had to muster some liquid courage to ask Chesney to ultimately join her on the track. Chesney’s groundbreaking residency at the Sphere runs through June 21, with the singer becoming the first ever country artist to have a run of shows at the state-of-the-art Vegas venue.
