United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States is $70,000 short of fiscal year fundraising goal

United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States says it is about $70,000 short of its fundraising needs for the fiscal year that ends on Saturday. The agency says that’s mostly due to a decline in payroll deductions that let people donate directly from their paychecks. The United Way often serves as a facilitator, providing grants and funding to support community partners in various areas, including health, education, housing, childcare, and mental health support.
