Governor Tony Evers is celebrating Wisconsin’s rich dairy heritage as June marks Dairy Month. Throughout the month, Gov. Evers will visit dairy farmers, processors, producers, and agricultural industry leaders to show his support for the state’s robust dairy sector. The dairy industry is a cornerstone of Wisconsin’s economy. According to Gov. Evers, the dairy industry contributes $50 billion annually and supports more than 120,000 jobs across the state. The Governor’s Office also highlighted that dairy, meat, crop, and other agricultural exports increased by 25% following the launch of the Wisconsin Initiative for Agricultural Exports. Gov. Evers is further advancing dairy research and innovation through an $8.8 billion investment in the Dairy Innovation Hub, based within the University of Wisconsin System.
