On Saturday at 8:50 AM The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a trailer, believed to be stolen, located at a residence in the Township of Mifflin. An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the area. Upon arrival, law enforcement observed an active disturbance in progress and requested additional assistance. Officers from the Mineral Point Police Department, a Grant County Sheriff’s K9 Deputy, and additional Iowa County units responded to the scene. Contact was made with the subjects at the residence. As a result, 40-year-old Joshawa N. Bayless of Cazenovia, was arrested for Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, two counts of Felony Bail Jumping, and on an outstanding warrant issued by Columbia County. 59-year-old Carla S. Zimmerman of Cazenovia, was arrested for Resisting or Obstructing an Officer and four counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
