On Tuesday at 8:17am, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office took a 911 call from an individual who was fishing at O’leary’s Lake. The individual reported that male pulled a gun on him over a fishing spot. Deputies from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded along with Deputies from Jo Daviess County and Officers from the East Dubuque Police Department. When Officers arrived, they learned the individuals were fishing near each other when their lines became tangled. An argument then started and 28-year-old Payton L. Walker of Dubuque, displayed a handgun. Walker did not point the weapon at anyone. No one was injured and as a result of the investigation, however, Walker was arrested and taken to the Grant County Jail where he was booked in for one count of disorderly conduct. Walker posted bond and was released.
