Despite a restructuring of the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Southwest Wisconsin, the agency’s county-level leaders are not anticipating an impact to services. Green County recently announced its desire to depart from the Southwest Wisconsin region, of which Grant, Lafayette and Iowa were also part. This sparked the other counties to each go their own way and work to dissolve the region. Both the Grant and Lafayette county boards of supervisors voted this week to dissolve the regional Aging and Disability Resource Center and apply to the state to become single-county centers, effective in 2026. Aging and Disability Resource Centers are funded through a mix of state and federal funds.
