Governor Tony Evers, along with the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), announced on Thursday over $2.5 million to support several new affordable housing developments. These developments will provide more than 120 new workforce housing units in communities across Wisconsin. The Vacancy-to-Vitality and Infrastructure Access loan programs provided the funding. It was created through bipartisan legislation and supported by Gov. Evers’ 2023-2025 Biennial Budget. Since 2019, officials said that over 17,000 affordable housing units have been built across the state.
