Three people were arrested Friday following a traffic stop in Dodgeville. On Friday at 9:58 PM Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 18 near North Johns Street in Dodgeville. As a result of the stop, 23+-year-old Amado Garcia Itehua of Fitchburg, was arrested on charges of Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, Bail Jumping – Misdemeanor, and on a warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of Resisting or Obstructing an Officer. 17-year-old Maria Viviana Lizama of Cobb, was arrested on a charge of Resisting or Obstructing an Officer. 27-year-old Samir Jose Maltea Rena Leon of Rockford, Illinois, was arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of Criminal Trespass to Dwelling and Battery. All three individuals were transported to the Iowa County Jail, where they are currently being held.
