On Monday, August 4 more than 100 area kids and their adult chaperones will have the opportunity to explore the Mississippi River. Mississippi River Adventure Day is planned to take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Lawler Park in Prairie du Chien. This is a free educational event with a lunch provided for all participants. Register now on the PdC Rotary Facebook page! This event allows children a chance to learn about river plants and animals, identify fish, mussels, and other aquatic life, and much more! The day of exploration will provide kids who live on both sides of Pool 10 in Northeastern Iowa and Southwestern Wisconsin with a fun, hands-on education about the ecosystem of the great Mississippi River. For up-to-date information on MRAD check out Rotary Club of Prairie du Chien on Facebook.
