The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department is reporting their weekly call number. According to a Facebook post from the Department from July 13 – July 19, the Iowa County 911 Communication Center handled a total of 491 calls for service. The top calls for service were 90 traffic stops, 9 disturbances, 19, motor vehicle accidents, 40 EMS calls, 28 911 misdials, 17 traffic complaints, and 16 animal issues. Year-to-Date Comparison in 2025 there has been 12,959 calls. Year-to-Date in 2024 there were 12,909. That means there’s been an increase of 50 calls compared to this time last year. 15 individuals were booked into the Iowa County Jail this past week for various offenses and holds.
