On Friday at 5:13 PM a Lafayette County deputy, Blanchardville EMS and Blanchardville Fire responded to County F in Blanchard Township for a one vehicle accident. 20-year-old Benjamin J. Haakenson of Dodgeville was traveling on County F when he lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, and entered the ditch where he came to a rest. Haakenson and his passenger, 20-year-old Grace M. Graber of Dodgeville received no injuries. Haakenson’s vehicle received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Haakenson was cited for Operating While Intoxicated (1st Offense), Failure to Maintain Control, and Possession of Alcohol. Graber was cited for Underage Consumption of Alcohol. Both Haakenson and Graber were released to responsible parties. Lafayette County EMS and Wisconsin DNR assisted.
