Dodgeville man arrested for 5th or 6th offense OWI

On Saturday at 7:45 PM The Iowa County Communications Center received a traffic complaint on Highway 191 near McGraw Rd in the Township of Dodgeville. The traffic complaint resulted in a one-vehicle accident involving a power line. 36-year-old Thomas G Smith of Dodgeville was arrested on charges of Operating While Intoxicated 5th or 6th offense, Operating While Revoked, Ignition Interlock Device Tampering or Failure to Install, and a Probation Hold. Dodgeville EMS, Dodgeville Fire Department, Dodgeville Police Department, Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies and Alliant Energy. There were no injuries reported resulting from this incident.
