Platteville museums’ Mine Day event to feature bluegrass music

Two musical acts will perform bluegrass music at a free event in Platteville. Mining & Rollo Jamison Museums’ Mine Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 9 on the museum’s campus according to an online announcement. The event celebrates the museums’ 1845 lead mine. Activities will include a scavenger hunt, blacksmithing demonstrations and live music by Holy Crowe at 3 p.m. and Grass Attack at 4 p.m.
