Monday evening an Iowa County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 151 near mile marker 40. Shortly after initiating the stop, the deputy requested and received assistance from additional Iowa County units. Two arrests were made as a result of this stop. 41-year-old Amy G Ortiz and 45-year-old Nicole Ruch both of Platteville were arrested for Possession w/ intent to manufacture, distribute or deliver methamphetamine, Possession of drug paraphernalia to manufacture, compound, convert, produce or store methamphetamine, Possession of a controlled substance, and Possession of cocaine. Ortiz was also charged with Resisting or obstructing an officer and felony bail jumping. Ruch faces a probation violation.
