A woman who stabbed a classmate to please the fictional character Slender Man will be sent to a facility in Sun Prairie under a plan approved by a Waukesha County judge Thursday. Morgan Geyser now 23, was set to be released to a facility in the Manitowoc area. However, her attorney Tony Cotton requested she be placed in a different facility in Sun Prairie because Geyser would be the only patient at the Manitowoc facility. Cotton said Geyser would have access to activities such as sewing and knitting in Sun Prairie, and would be able to take some excursions. Judge Wagner ultimately ruled that the City of Sun Prairie didn’t have standing to object to Geyser’s placement in the city. He cited findings by the DHS that the facility was “adequately investigated.” Geyser stabbed Payton Leutner at a Waukesha park 19 times in 2014 while her friend, Anissa Weier egged her on. The three girls were 12 years old when the stabbing occurred.
