Two dead following Delaware County crash

Authorities said two people were killed in a two-vehicle head-on crash in Delaware County. 33-year-old Anthony N. Mentzer of Monticello and 44-year-old Bobbi J. Bauers of Delhi, both were killed in the crash, according to the Iowa State Patrol. A crash report states that Bauers was traveling south on Iowa 38 near 310th Avenue at 6:15 p.m. Saturday when she crossed the center line and struck Mentzer’s vehicle, which was traveling north on Highway 38. Both drivers were deceased at the scene, according to the report.
