Officials with the Envision 2030 community visioning process have announced a new time and location for a planned community event tomorrow. The Pick and Plate event will now be held from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Crescent Community Health Center. The event, which was originally scheduled as a daylong event in Washington Park, was moved due to forecasted weather and the current conditions of Washington Park. The Community Foundation is collaborating with Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce to facilitate Envision 2030, which aims to brainstorm ideas for 10 major projects to improve Dubuque. The 3,000-plus ideas submitted by residents since the initiative kicked off in March have been narrowed to 100, and attendees at Tuesday’s event will vote to narrow the field to 30. Food trucks also will be present at the event.
