Good Morning Platteville to feature Grant County Humane Society

An upcoming Platteville event will focus on the history, present and future of Grant County Humane Society. The event will be held 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Humane Society’s Platteville facility, which is under construction as the group plans a move from its current location in Lancaster. The event is a part of Platteville Regional Chamber’s Good Morning Platteville program. Cari Schaffer, owner of Lancaster Veterinary Clinic and president of Grant County Humane Society, will present about the history of the organization, statistics and current needs, as well as discuss fundraising efforts and plans. Attendees will be able to ask Schaffer questions and tour the new facility. Coffee, juice, water and breakfast snacks will be provided.
