On Monday, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a two-vehicle traffic crash on Highway 60 near Hummingbird Lane in Wauzeka. 60-year-old Edward Pitzer of Wauzeka, was operating a motor vehicle eastbound on Highway 60 and as he was preparing to make a right turn, he was rear-ended by another motor vehicle operated by 25-year-old Wyatt Myers of Boscobel. The collision caused Myers’ vehicle to overturn. Pitzer, Myers, and Myers’ child passenger escaped the crash without serious injury. Myers was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance with a child passenger, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and possession of THC. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wauzeka Fire Department, Wauzeka First Responders, and Boscobel Ambulance Service.
