Dubuque man arrested for assault after woman hospitalized

Police said a man headbutted a woman during a Dubuque disturbance and left her hospitalized. 29-year-old Robert C. Robey of Dubuque was arrested early Monday morning at his residence on charges of willful injury-bodily injury, first-degree harassment, domestic assault with injury, third-degree criminal mischief, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Court documents state that Robey punched a woman multiple times and headbutted her at his residence Sunday. The woman was hospitalized as a result of her injuries, documents state. The woman hid from Robey in a bathtub and was able to seek medical help when was asleep. Documents state that Robey also broke the windows on the woman’s vehicle.
