The first deer-hunting season of the fall opens this weekend in Wisconsin. The state’s archery and crossbow deer hunting season opens Saturday, Sept. 13, according to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The season runs through Jan. 4, but is extended to Jan. 31 in some areas of the state, including Crawford, Iowa and Lafayette counties.
