Grant County authorities investigating death in Muscoda

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an adult female in the Town of Muscoda. Yesterday, at 6:15pm, a person called and requested law enforcement check on their neighbor who they thought was either passed out or passed away in her driveway. A deputy responded and located a deceased female lying on the ground alongside the driveway to her residence. Due to unusual circumstances, assistance was requested from the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory’s Crime Scene Response Team to assist with processing the scene. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family. The Grant County Coroner is scheduling an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. At this point, the Sheriff’s Office not believe there is any immediate danger to the public. The investigation into the incident is ongoing and additional information will be released when it becomes available.
