Early Sunday evening the Grant County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a possible crash on County X, south of Wyalusing. The reporting party stopped to check the area and discovered a motorcycle had crashed on the west side of the roadway. 31-year-old Taylor Blizard of Prairie du Chien, was traveling northbound on County X on his on his motorcycle and lost control while negotiating a corner, causing the motorcycle to leave the road. Blizard was ejected from the motorcycle and both Blizard and his motorcycle went over the embankment on the west side of the road. Blizard was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Coroner. Speed is suspected of being a factor in the crash and the incident remains under investigation. This was Grant County’s sixth traffic fatality of 2025.
