The secretary and CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation is resigning from her position this week, Governor Evers’ office announced. Missy Hughes has held this position since she was appointed by Evers in 2019. Gov. Evers said that Hughes played an important role in his mission of boosting Wisconsin’s economy by supporting local businesses and workers. Hughes officially leave her position on Sept. 19. The search to fill her position is underway, according to the governor’s office.
