The Dubuque City Council voted unanimously Monday to delay a decision on using local tax dollars to subsidize commercial flights at Dubuque Regional Airport until their next meeting on Oct. 6. The motion was intended to get the council past its annual goal-setting sessions next week and to give City Manager Mike Van Milligen more time to close out the budget for fiscal year 2025. The City Council is considering the allocation of an estimated $1.6 million through the end of this year to subsidize service with Denver Air Connection.
