Wisconsin and federal officials finished damage assessments in six counties, including Grant County, following major flooding that happened last month. Gov. Tony Evers said Wednesday Wisconsin Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed the assessments for Door, Grant, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, and Waukesha counties. Severe storms and floods ripped through the counties in August, causing damage to roads and public infrastructure. The assessments began on Sep. 3, and officials validated over $26.5 million in disaster costs across the six counties.
