Emmaus University in Dubuque recently received a $1.5 million unrestricted gift, the largest in the university’s history. A press release states that the donation came from a longtime supporter of Emmaus’ mission who left the gift to the university following his death. According to the release, the donation will enhance the university’s ability to support its students financially, including through the $6,000 Founder’s Grant that each Emmaus undergraduate student receives.
