Thursday evening, the Grant County Communications Center was notified of a one vehicle rollover crash with injuries on Weinbrenner Rd., in Fennimore Township. A 16-year-old Elizabeth from Fennimore, was westbound on Weinbrenner Rd. with three passengers. They driving too fast on the loose gravel of the newly chip sealed roadway, when they came over a hill and lost control of their vehicle. The vehicle went off the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned striking a power pole before coming to rest on its roof. All three occupants received injuries and were transported by EMS to Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster for treatment of their injuries. As a result of the crash, the driver was issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Control, and one passenger was cited for not wearing a seatbelt. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Fennimore Fire Dept, Fennimore EMS, Lancaster EMS, and Montfort EMS. The vehicle received disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene.
