The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department is reporting their call volume from last week, September 14-20. According to a Facebook post by Iowa County Sheriff’s Department, the Iowa County 911 Communication Center handled a total of 492 calls for service. The top calls for service were 81 Traffic Stops (TSTOP): 81, 4 Disturbances, 10 Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA), 44 EMS Calls, 29 911 Misdials, 25 Traffic Complaints, and 10 Animal issues. Year-to-Date in 2025 there were 17,515 calls for service, in 2024 there were 17,320. That is an increase of 195 calls from last year. In the last week there were 14 individuals booked into the Iowa County Jail for various offenses and holds.
