The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado formed in Crawford County Monday afternoon. According to their preliminary survey, the EF-0 tornado was short-lived, occurring in the town of Mount Sterling for just 3 minutes shortly after 4 p.m. With it, the tornado brought peak winds of 75 miles per hour, causing minor damage to corn, an outbuilding, silo and some residential damage that was mainly limited to roof shingles, according to NWS. The tornado traveled a half mile and was 40 yards wide. No injuries were reported.
