Structure fire closes Survey Rd for five hours

Wednesday afternoon the Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a structure fire in the township of Mineral Point on Survey Road. Mineral Point Fire Department, Mineral Point EMS, Dodgeville Fire Department and Cobb Fire Department initially responded to the scene. Mineral Point Fire Command requested mutual aid and an additional ten fire departments responded to the scene.  Law Enforcement units from Iowa County Sheriff’s Office and The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted at the scene. Ivey’s Construction with an excavator and Alliant Energy also assisted at the scene. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Survey Road was closed for approximately five hours to allow emergency operations and ensure public safety. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
