The Alliant Energy Foundation raised $550,000 to support programs that fight hunger and food insecurity in Iowa and Wisconsin. The amount is the largest on record in the company’s 19 years of hosting their annual Drive Out Hunger event. Hosted annually during Hunger Action Month in September, Drive Out Hunger is Alliant Energy’s annual golf event and signature fundraiser connecting Alliant Energy’s business partners across the country to programs that alleviate hunger. Funds raised from Drive Out Hunger will be distributed to seven local food banks serving more than 100 counties where Alliant Energy provides service, including: HACAP Food Reservoir , Food Bank of Iowa , Northeast Iowa Food Bank , River Bend Food Bank , Food Bank for the Heartland , Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin, and Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin
